‘OUR THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU’

Today, a great number of Eritrean families, after
waiting for more than two years in anticipation of the long awaited news,
are in deep sorrow because they have been notified the deaths of their
beloved family members in the battlefield. Members and supporters of Eritreans for Human and
Democratic Rights - UK (EHDR-UK) are profoundly touched and on this
occasion, would like to convey their deepest condolences to the families
of those who heroically fell in defence of the country.
In order that their deaths do not go in vain, EHDR-UK calls
upon the government of Eritrea to reflect on their heroism sincerely and
abstain from exploiting their deaths to its advantage. Again we call upon
the government to refrain from all unconstructive and divisive activities
that go against the wishes and sacrifices of our young heroes. The Eritrean government needs to
mend its ways, reconcile with its people and start respecting its wishes
by starting to be its servant and not its master.
No more war and
eternal glory to our martyrs!
